Whether it's garbage bags, take out bags or clothing bags, we use plastic bags every day, so what are their materials?
PE -- Polyethylene
Polyethylene (PE) is a kind of high molecular organic compound, which is made by adding ethylene. Polyethylene is recognized as the best food contact material in the world. It is non-toxic, tasteless, odorless, and meets the hygienic standards of food packaging. And polyethylene film, light and transparent, with moisture-proof, oxygen resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, general air tightness, excellent heat sealing and other properties, is the most used and most important material for plastic packaging and printing, usually used for packaging pastry, candy and other food as well as daily chemical products.
PVC -- Polyvinyl Chloride
PVC for short is the most important kind of vinyl polymer. It is the second largest plastic variety in the world after polyethylene. In China, the output ranks first in plastics, and in the printing industry, people often use PVC to make the packaging and decoration of books, folders, tickets and other covers.
Shrinkfilm -- shrink film
Shrinkfilm is a kind of thermoplastic film which is stretched and oriented in the production process and shrinks when it is exposed to heat air treatment or infrared radiation in the use process. After heat treatment, the film is tightly wrapped on the package, the shrinkage force reaches the maximum value in the cooling stage, and it can be preserved for a long time. Now it is used as raw materials in food packaging bags, beverage labels, fresh-keeping films, etc.
LDPE -- low density polyethylene
LDPE, or LDPE for short, is the most widely used variety in the plastic packaging and printing industry in various countries. Because of its low crystallinity (60%), it will polymerize in bulk at a pressure of 1000-3000kg / cm2, so it is called high-pressure polyethylene. Moreover, it has poor calendering formability and can be processed into tubular film by blow molding. It is usually suitable for food packaging, fiber products packaging and daily chemical products packaging.
HDPE-- high density polyethylene
HDPE for short. It is heat-resistant, cold resistant, freezing resistant, moisture-proof, gas proof, good insulation performance, not easy to damage, twice the strength of LDPE. Therefore, some high-quality garbage bags are usually made of high-density polyethylene materials, such as Dr. Smith's closed garbage bag, which is not only strong in bearing capacity, but also not easy to pierce. Even if it is filled with high-temperature soup in the kitchen, it is not easy to damage or create holes.
BOPP -- biaxially stretched polypropylene film
Biaxially stretched polypropylene film, also known as biaxially stretched polypropylene film, abbreviated as BOPP, has better mechanical strength, folding strength, air tightness and moisture resistance than ordinary plastic film. Because of its excellent transparency and bright and beautiful color reproduction, the film is usually used as an important base material for plastic composite soft packaging, widely used in packaging textiles, cotton and other clothing.
